our story

young. collective is a group of makers bringing their work together to create a space where art is both created and designed by young people, and accessible to a younger person’s price point and situation. we want to emphasise the importance of supporting small business as opposed to cheap, fast, mass-produced products.

not only are you getting gorgeous, handmade product with small business, but it’s made in Aotearoa, giving help to New Zealand based businesses, and especially the young people that work so hard to create their arty product.

young. is our way of opening up a platform that is eco-conscious, supportive of small businesses, and importantly, a platform on which younger people can easily showcase their work.

so really, we’re about opportunity. forget the ‘young’ criteria! young. really focuses on opportunities for everyone, regardless of physical age, as long as their ideas are young at heart- we want product that keeps in mind the current ecological and political environment, while giving products to our beloved customers that is ‘hip’ and ‘cool’, yet timeless. (up with the kids, am I right?!)

all our artists are found through a network of friends and family, all over nz - there’s lots of connections around here! at the moment, we range from auckland to dunedin, but are always on the lookout for new and fun product.
